BEIJING, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- The overnight Shanghai Interbank Offered Rate (Shibor), which measures the borrowing cost of China's interbank market, decreased 2.3 basis points to 1.235 percent Monday.

The seven-day rate dropped 10.6 basis points to 1.639 percent, the one-month rate edged up 0.3 basis points to 1.498 percent, and the one-year rate edged up 0.4 basis points to 1.973 percent.
