China's Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) on Monday issued a circular to strengthen seasonal prevention and control of H7N9 flu.
As the circular says, relevant local authorities are required to enhance supervision and pre-warning of the H7N9 flu such as cleanup of hazards in poultry breeding, circulation and other key processes and troubleshooting in poultry markets and breeding farms close to areas where human infection of H7N9 occurred.
The document also reiterates supervision and regulation of anti-epidemic in live poultry markets and transportation of live poultry to better prevent risks. The news might boost share prices of bird flu vaccine and related medicine producers such as Shandong Lukang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (600789.SH), Hualan Biological Engineering, Inc. (002007.SZ), Beijing Tiantan Biological Products Corporation Limited (600161.SH) and Da An Gene Co., Ltd. of Sun Yat-Sen University (002030.SZ).
