Online medical services saw a market scale of 10.88 billion yuan in 2014, and the figure for this year is expected to exceed 17 billion yuan, said a report released by Internet industry consultancy iResearch.
According to statistics of health authority, 80 percent of medical resources in China are in large cities, of which 30 percent belong to large hospitals. Thus domestic online medical service operators like Chunyuyisheng.com and Kingdee Medical Technology Co., Ltd flourished in 2014. Chen Dengkun, general manager of Kingdee Medical said that the company had over 1.3 million online users in 2014 covering 100 million outpatients.
Zhang Rui, CEO of Chunyuyisheng.com said that among their 390,000 medical quizzes each day, 30 percent of them were unnecessary to go to hospital. With online medical service people could enjoy more conveniences.
