Postal enterprises should compensate their clients for lost and damaged parcels within seven days, according to a new regulation that will come into effect on Tuesday.

People can file complaints to administrative organs if postal enterprises fail to make the compensation in time, said the newly revised regulation on the administration of postal services.

Agencies with the China Securities Regulatory Commission should perform enforcement measures that include freezing and sealing accounts while investigating cases.

China will also start the 10th edition of the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, the nation's largest medicinal herb guide, on Tuesday. It includes 5,608 types of medicine, growing by 23.7 percent compared with the 9th edition created five years ago.

The new edition also raises control over medicine safety and increased measurement of pesticide residue from nine to 229 types of medicine.
