China has defined a roadmap for the development of high-end manufacturing industry in the period from 2016 to 2020, according to a recent forum about the high-end numerically-controlled machine held in Shanghai.
Coordinating the "Made in China 2025" with the innovation, China expects to make breakthroughs in the high-end manufacturing industry under the "big planning" and in a market-oriented manner. Enterprises will become main players of the integrated innovation with the coordination implemented among industry, academy and research. Meanwhile, the country plans to build innovative platforms, combining the networking, computer aided design and three-dimensional printing together to fill in its gap in integrated development of the manufacturing industry. In addition, the country will focus on the sensor, software and big data fields to make a difference in "industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing", according to the forum.
China has made breakthroughs in the field of high-end numerically-controlled machine and basic manufacturing equipment, said Lu Bingheng, member of Chinese Academy of Engineering. In the aviation field, China made progress in the 800MN large-scale forging press, filling in the country's gap and offering a strong guarantee for R&D of large passenger airplanes, added Lu.
