Yinghui Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Foxconn (02038.HK), signed an agreement with Zhengzhou Economic and Technology Development Zone Administration in central China's Henan province on Saturday, under which it would launch a sixth-generation Low-temperature Polysilicon Thin Film Transistors (LTPS TFTs) Liquid Crystal Display production base in the local zone.
Involving a total investment of 28 billion yuan, the project is expected to start trial-production in November 2017, and go into lot production in 2018. It will reduce the dependence of imports from Japanese and Korean high end mobile phone display screen producers.
