China will encourage traditional industries to intellectualize facilities and equipment and transform their production modes in the directions of digitalization, refinement and flexibility, according to the guidelines on boosting new supply reform issued by the State Council on Monday.
The document says China will also encourage traditional industries to carry out green transformation. According to the document, China will push traditional industries, including light industry, textile industry and food processing industry, to make business transformation and upgrade and improve the quality of consumer products comprehensively.
Besides, China will support the manufacturing industry to transform from productive orientation to service orientation; guide manufacturing enterprises to extend industrial chains and add service sections; develop and upgrade basic industries; strengthen infrastructure construction in the field of measuring technique; and improve the mechanism for market application of the first homebrew key technical equipment.
