China's integrated circuit industry boosted sales to 254 billion yuan in the first nine months of the year, up 19.5 percent from the same period of last year, Huai Jinpeng, vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), said on Wednesday at an information industry forum in Beijing.
China has a huge and fast growing market for electronic products, which expanded three times as fast as the global market in recent years.
The domestic demand for integrated circuits is expected to increase considerably, according to Huai.
