AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group has signed a contract to sell 15 Y-12E planes to FLY AVIA FZE. The aircraft manufacturer will complete delivery of the planes by 2017 if everything goes well. The planes are likely to be used in the Russian aviation market.
To date, the Y-12 series have received the validation of type certificate (VTC) from more than 10 countries including the US, Russia, Britain, France, Australia, New Zealand, Venezuela, and Columbia. Easily maintainable and durable, the Y-12 planes have been widely used in aerial photography, passenger and cargo transport, geological exploration, and marine monitoring.
