A Brazilian aerospace company announced Monday that it had delivered the first Phenom 100E executive jet in China.
Embraer, the third largest aircraft manufacturer in the world after Boeing and Airbus, revealed in a press release that the aircraft will be operated by Wanfeng Aviation Co.,Ltd., a subsidiary of Wanfeng Auto Holding Group.
Based in the coastal province of Zhejiang, south of Shanghai, Wanfeng Auto Holding Group is a Chinese conglomerate, whose business range from auto parts to aviation to machinery and even alternative energies and materials.
According to Embraer, the 2,180 km-range Phenom 100 is the first clean-sheet business jet produced by its Executive Jets division, and over 320 Phenom 100s have been shipped to 26 countries since entering service in 2008.
The Phenom 100, which seats between four and seven passengers,starts out at roughly 3.6 million U.S. dollars. Embraer has a fleet of 30 business jets in China including Lineage 1000 VIP airliners, large-cabin Legacy 600/650s and Phenom 300 light jets, the press release said.
