China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has been drafting an implementing plan for green construction engineering to encourage traditional manufacturing industries to launch technological innovations, the Securities Daily quoted an MIIT official as saying on Monday.
Gao Yunhu, director of the Energy Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization Department under MIIT, said as deployed by the Made in China 2025 strategy, the plan would also promote green low-carbon industrialization demonstration and encourage traditional manufacturing industries to carry out specific actions in combating air, water and soil pollution.
The Implementation Plan for Green Construction Engineering is to focus on four tasks, namely implementing green reform of traditional manufacturing industries; boosting cyclic utilization of resources to realize green development; boosting green manufacturing technological innovation and industrial application demonstration; and establishing a green manufacturing system.
Cui Yu, an advisor with China Investment Securities, said the green construction engineering reform will help cut pollutant emission of enterprises and standardize the consumption of resources. In the meantime, it will boost the development of clean energy and the government is to give full support to the use of clean energy so as to improve the environment and promote green manufacturing.
