China is expected to export more than 100 million metric tons (tonnes) of steels this year, said Wang Liqun, vice president of the China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) on Wednesday.
The Customs data showed that the country's steel exports amounted to 93.78 million tonnes in 2014, up 50.5 percent year on year, and hitting a record high. In the first eight months of 2015, the country exported 71.87 million tonnes of steels, up 26.5 percent year on year. The CISA pointed that the peak of China's demand for steels has passed. As China is transforming from investment-driven economic growth pattern to the consumption-driven mode, China's steel exports increased constantly.
