China's leather tanning and finishing industry generated 108.88 billion yuan of main operating revenue in the first eight months of 2015, up 2.2 percent year on year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced on Thursday.
Meanwhile, it reaped 6.71 billion yuan of total profit, basically equal with that for the same period of 2014, and paid three billion yuan in taxes, up 0.3 percent year on year.
China's leather tanning and finishing industry posted a sales-output ratio of 97.8 percent for the period, down 0.2 percentage point year on year; its value of export delivery reached 7.52 billion yuan, up 4.6 percent year on year. In August, the sales-output ratio went down one percentage point to 97.6 percent, and the export delivery value went up 10.9 percent year on year to 890 million yuan.
