China's leatherware manufacturing industry generated 225.16 billion yuan of main operating revenue in the first eight months of 2015, up 7.7 percent year on year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology announced on Thursday.
Meanwhile, it reaped 13.46 billion yuan of total profit, up 6.3 percent year on year and paid 5.64 billion yuan in taxes, up 11 percent year on year. China's leatherware manufacturing industry posted a sales-output ratio of 98 percent in the period, 0.2 percentage point lower than the same period of 2014, and its value of export delivery amounted to 60.24 billion yuan, up 4.4 percent year on year.
In August, the sales-output ratio went up 0.3 percentage point year on year to 98.4 percent, and the export delivery value increased 6.6 percent year on year to 8.09 billion yuan.
