China's aluminum smelting industry climate index dropped to 20.81 in October, marking the seventh month in a row for a decline, according to China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association
. The sluggish aluminum price provides a best timing for expanding the use of the industrial raw material, said the association. It is necessary for the government to unveil policies to boost use of aluminum while stopping construction of new capacities, in order to achieve a sustainable development in the aluminum industry, the association said.
