Shandong Province is to halt production of mines that have got the government approval for capacity expansion and consolidation, according to an announcement jointly released by Shandong Province Administration of Work Safety and Shandong Provincial Department of Land and Resources, quoted by the Xinhua-run cnstock.com.
Shandong province has shut down the 33 underground mines that have been rejected by the provincial joint meeting for expansion or consolidation. Meanwhile, work safety licenses for non-coal mines that have suspended production for expansion and consolidation before the end of 2015 would be taken back and deregistered by government authority, and would be reissued upon completion of expansion and consolidation.
