Land-transfer fees in 300 Chinese cities shrink over 30% on month in Oct.

Altogether 53.73 million square meters of land were transacted in the monitored 300 Chinese cities in October with land transfer fees totaling 165.2 billion yuan, down 33 percent and 32 percent, respectively, month and month and down 18 percent while up 4 percent compared with October of 2014, according to the latest statistics released after a routine survey conducted by China Index Academy (CIA), one of the country's leading property research institutes.

Meanwhile, the monitored 300 Chinese cities' land value in terms of per unit floor age averaged 1,670 yuan per square meters, up 1 percent on month and up 24 percent on year.

In October, Beijing topped the country with land transfer fee of 29.4 billion yuan, accounting 64 percent of total land transfer fee in the first tier cities.
