China's Datang Telecom Technology and Industry Group displayed 5G communication prototypes at the PT/Expo COMN China 2015 on Wednesday.
At present, the global 4G development is in the ascendant and design and R&D of 5G are thrust into in the limelight with the development progress accelerated.
As a core member of the IMT-2020 "5G team", Datang Telecom has not only participated in formulation of requirements for 5G communication, but also led some special researches on key technologies, including large-sale antenna, new-type multiple access technology, flexible frequency spectrum sharing, and low-delay and high-reliability technology, said Chen Shanzhi, vice president of the company.
In 2015, Datang Telecom comprehensively participated in the International Telecommunication Union's formulation of IMT-2020 vision and requirements. Its 5G communication technology standard was selected by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) as a standard for filing, making its standard one of alternative offers for international 5G communication standard in the future.
At the expo, Datang Telecom showed 5G comprehensive verification platform, 128-channel 5G large-sale antenna prototypes, and 5G car networking communication devices.
