China's software and IT service industry registered software business revenue of 2,708.4 billion yuan in the first eight months of 2015, up 16.7 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The growth rate was 4.8 percentage points lower that for the year-earlier period but 0.1 percentage point higher than that for the first seven months of this year. The industry's profit totaled 295.1 billion yuan in the period, up nine percent year on year. The growth rate went down 13.4 percentage points year on year and 3.8 percentage points from that for the first seven months of 2015.
