Private equities and venture capital invested a total of 15.56 billion U.S. dollars in China's technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sectors in the first half of 2015, keeping a flat running with that in the whole 2014, according to a new report released by the accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the number of investment deals reached 1,126 during the period, up 44 percent from the second half of 2014. In the first quarter, the total investment in TMT sectors rose 61 percent quarter-on-quarter to 7.575 billion dollars, with the number of investment deals growing 71 percent on quarter to 635. In the second quarter, the total investment rose to 7.981 billion dollars while the number of investment deals dropped to 491.
