China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has interviewed with officials from seven mobile telecom business resell companies over the issue of spam messaging, the official website of Shanghai Securities News reported on Thursday.
The Information and Communications Bureau of MIIT summoned a meeting on September 29 and interviewed with officials from YuanTel Communications, Longmaster Information and Technology, GOME Electrical Alliances, Shenzhen Aisidi, China Telling Telecom, Suning Commerce Group and Sharing Mobile over the issue of spam messaging in the number segment of 170 and urged the virtual carriers to take practical measures to combat spam messages.
