China will focus on four sectors of new-generation IT industry for the implementation of "Made in China 2025" plan, according to a roadmap released by a national consultative committee for upgrading the country's manufacturing sector.
The four sectors include the integrated circuit and special equipment business sector, information telecom equipment business sector, operation system and industrial software business sector and core information equipment for intelligent manufacturing business sector.
They are expected to become major areas of China's IT industry development in the medium and long term and enter into a golden developing period in the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020). Industry insiders and market researchers believe the market size for China's new-generation IT industry will exceed ten trillion yuan by end of 2025, twice as much as that at the end of this year.
