Service robot is expected to become a new hotspot from the long term perspective, although the industrial robots now account for about 80 percent of the global robot market, said Chinese vice president Li Yuanchao on Monday.
The Chinese government attaches great importance to the robot technology and industry, which is one of the key fields China will make efforts in to upgrade its manufacturing sector, Li said at the World Robot Conference that opened on Monday. China has been the world's largest industrial robot market for two years in a row, which accounts for about one fourth of the worldwide industrial robot sales.
