China's telecom industry reaps 1,239.25 bln yuan in first 11 months

China's telecom industry registered 1,239.25 billion yuan in business revenue in January-November 2015, up 0.9 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Out of the total, 1,044.22 billion yuan came from telecom business, rising 1.6 percent from the comparable figure for the first 11 months of 2014.

In November, the industry's total business revenue and telecom business revenue were 106.8 billion yuan and 87.35 billion yuan, respectively.

The three telecom giants, China Mobile (CHL.NYSE; 00941.HK), China Unicom (CHU.NYSE; 00762.HK; 600050.SH) and China Telecom (CHA.NYSE; 00728.HK), had had 233.17 million fixed phone users and 1.3 billion mobile phone users by the end of November.

The number of 3G customers and 4G customers decreased 76.91 million and increased 258.45 million in the 11 months, to 408.34 million and 355.73 million, respectively.
