A China-Brunei joint venture high-tech company, with a main research centre in Brunei and the global headquarters in Beijing, China, started operation here on Friday.
Sesame World Technology has decades of specialized experience in audio and image technology, especially directional sound system and computer graphics (CG).
Its senior management team and technology team consists of executives from China, Brunei and Singapore. With the technology from China and support from Brunei government, the China-Brunei venture has set part of its goal to develop local young talent.
It has established a CG animation academy, which specializes in architectural design to train local Bruneians as parts of its effort for technology transfer into Brunei.
Chinese ambassador to Brunei Yang Jian and officials from Brunei Economic Development Board and the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry attended the venture's opening ceremony.
