The vibrant sharing economy has revealed a new opportunity for internet entrepreneurs. Leshi Internet Information & Technology, or LeTV, will tap into TV sharing to reverse its current financial crisis, Liang Jun, CEO of a LeTV subsidiary, said in Beijing on May 16.

Priced at 3,699 RMB, the special TV is designed to help all users make money, Liang explained at a launch event. He said that the core of the sharing service is connecting users with advertisers. Users will do assigned tasks, which include making purchases on TV shopping programs and buying after-sale services. In exchange, users can receive free VIP membership, while advertisers can profit from loyal and long-term customers.

"We designed the TV to allow everyone to share resources and get what they want," Liang said. LeTV aims to sell 7 million smart TVs in 2017, which will net the company hundreds of millions of RMB, according to its annual report.
LeTV , founded by Jia Yueting, has lately been posting a poor financial performance, with 630 million RMB in losses last year.
