Stocks of the 5th generation wireless systems (5G) maintained a strong growth momentum on Tuesday following the news that China's three top operators had got their licenses for 5G commercial use.

China's Industry and Information Technology Ministry announced that it would guide the 5G infrastructure building process among operators soon.

Despite the potential devastations the 5G will spread on traditional networks to some extent, the 5G technologies will bring about more opportunities than challenges, said analyst from radio frequency(RF) cable company, "Telecom industry is cyclical as we saw the turbulence that followed the transformation from 3G to 4G in the past. Nevertheless, we are looking forward to the 5G era to come."

China is leading the 5G industry in the world, according to a report tittled Race to TG released by American Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association (CTIA) in April.

China Mobile Communications Group said it would proactively push forward the works on 5G use on practical terms. And China Unicom also said it has been getting ready for the upcoming 5G era.

The China Securities Times reported China Mobile would initiate the 5G network infrastructure construction in the second or third quarter of 2019, so as other top operators, which means Huawei and ZTE could sell their 5G related equipment as soon as the second quarter next year.

Insiders said that the construction for the 5G networks would take at least 5-7 years, and the process is dependent on the strategies that operators are going to implement.
