Sino-German hi-tech forum calls for enhancing bilateral cooperation

HEIDELBERG, Germany, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Hundreds of experts, officials and businessmen from China and Germany gathered here for the 4th Sino-German Hi-Tech Dialog Forum on Thursday to share thoughts on cooperation opportunities between the two countries.  

 Prof. Jianwei Zhang, member of Hamburg Academy of Sciences, delivered a speech on the next generation AI trends and called for synergy and cooperation against future challenge.    

Dr. Henning Kagermann, head of the National Platform for Electric Mobility (NPE) set up by the German government in 2010, gave a lecture on "the Future of Mobility." He was helping introduce German Industry 4.0 applications to the hi-tech park in China's northeastern city Shenyang.    

German and Chinese experts also discussed topics on education in times of AI, smart enterprises and so on. They believe there are a lot of cooperation opportunities in the hi-tech field between the two counties.    

Wang Weidong, commercial counselor of the Chinese embassy in Germany, stressed that China and Germany have their respective advantages in the high-tech field, and through mutually beneficial cooperation, the two countries can achieve a win-win result.    
The event, hosted by the Sino-German Hi-tech Park, is aimed at providing a communication platform for Sino-German innovation cooperation.
