Signed by Indonesia’s cyber security agency (BSSN) and PT Huawei Tech Investment, an Indonesian subsidiary of China’s Huawei in Jakarta, the agreement was expected to develop talents in the agency in a bid for technology competency, said Hinsa Siburian, who is the head of agency.
According to the data of the national police’s cyber crime unit, the number of cases in cyber security in the country increases in the last four years.
In 2015, the police recorded 2,069 cases, while in 2014 the number increased to 3,110 cases. It went up to 3,109 cases in 2017 and 4,360 in 2018.
