Entering the Australian market back in May 2018, the on-demand auto service has already created a foothold in Geelong, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane.
"After significant research into the Perth ride-share market, we're thrilled to be finally landing in one of Australia's most beautiful cities," DiDi Australia General Manager Lyn Ma said.
"Since we initiated driver recruitment last month, we have received a warm response from the local community."
With over 550 million app-users worldwide, the Beijing-based company operates an extensive range of transport options across the globe, including taxis, ride-shares, buses, e-bikes, food delivery platforms and more.
In total, it is estimated that DiDi facilitates around 10 billion passenger trips a year.
"DiDi will combine what we've learnt in the other cities with local Perth knowledge and feedback from local users," Ma said.
"We are committed to providing a service to make DiDi one of the city's most preferred ride-share platforms."

Riders travelling on Saturday Nov. 9, 16, 23 and 30 can receive one free trip across Perth to the value of 20 Australian (13.85 U.S.) dollars.
