LOS ANGELES, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- U.S. telecommunications equipment company Qualcomm will kick off its third annual Snapdragon Technology Summit in Hawaii Tuesday, focusing on topics including global 5G expansion.

Qualcomm executives and leaders from the mobile industry will share the latest development of 5G, a technology that would shape the future capabilities of mobile devices, the company said on its website.

Keynotes will include Snapdragon Mobile Platform, Always On and Always Connected PC, according to Qualcomm.

"Qualcomm was instrumental in driving the development and launch in 3G and 4G, and we're building upon that history of technology leadership as we do the same with 5G," said Qualcomm President Cristiano Amon, who will host the event.

"At last year's Snapdragon Tech Summit, we showed the world that 5G was a reality. This year, we're excited to bring together more than 300 members of the press and analyst community to talk about the amazing devices, services, and experiences that are being powered by this generation of wireless technology, and what's yet to come," he said.
