SpaceX spacecraft with four astronauts docks to ISS

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- SpaceX Dragon spacecraft with four astronauts on board arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) Thursday and docked to the complex.

The Crew-5 mission carries NASA astronauts Nicole Mann and Josh Cassada, along with Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Koichi Wakata, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Anna Kikina to the ISS.

The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon spacecraft lifted off from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida at noon Wednesday Eastern Time. The spacecraft arrived at the space station at 5:01 p.m. Thursday Eastern Time.

During their time on the orbiting laboratory, the crew will conduct more than 200 science experiments and technology demonstrations in areas such as human health and lunar fuel systems, according to SpaceX.
