Daily output of sea water desalinization in China has reached 942,100 metric tons (tonnes) in 2014, up 4.58 percent on year, according to China's sea water desalinization yearbook of 2014.
The yearbook said that 112 sea water desalinization projects had been completed by 2014, of which 94 went in operation for industrial and municipal water supply.
Sea water desalinization projects for industrial supply mainly concentrate on Tianjin, Hebei and Shandong, while those for civil supply concentrate on Zhejiang, Fujian and Henan.
