Chinese authorities are expected to issue a regulation on the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) in December, said Ke Yubao, executive secretary general of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association of China, quoted by Beijing Daily.
It will be the first UAV regulation in China. The draft regulation has been approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China, said Ke.
In the coming decade, the UAV segment is expected to be the fastest growing unit of the global aeronautics and astronautics industry, with growth likely at over 20 percent, according to a report by GF Securities.
