China will ensure more than 800 billion yuan of investments in the important water conservancy projects under construction in 2016, according to the Ministry of Water Resources at a recent meeting. Chen Lei, minister of water resources, also said that the authorities will take measures during the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) to promote construction of a water-saving society and improve the water conservancy infrastructure network.
