China's top economic planner, National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), encouraged the local governments to take measures including tax cuts, fiscal subsidies, green loans and favorable land prices, to support development of the solar thermal power generation industry, according to its website on Thursday.
In order to promote healthy and orderly development of the solar thermal power generation industry, the NDRC approved of setting the benchmark on-grid price of the solar thermal power at 1.15 yuan/KWH, which applies only to the demonstration projects organized by the National Energy Administration in 2016.
The national unified benchmark on-grid price of the solar thermal power fixed by the NDRC is to guide enterprises to adopt advanced technologies, develop high-quality photo-thermal resources, which cannot only support healthy development of the friendly renewable energy sources, but also prevent blind expansion and reduce the power utilization costs of the whole society.
The NDRC also made it clear that after 2019, the country will timely improve the policy for the solar thermal power price and gradually reduce the newly-built solar thermal power price, according to development status of the solar thermal power generation industry and power generation costs.
