The total amount of 2.4 Million US Dollars will be received for 10 selected projects, of which, 1 project is from Ministry of Home Affairs, 1 from Ministry of Transport and Communications, 5 from Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, 1 from Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture and 1 from Ministry of Education.

The Mekong-Lancang Cooperation was established following the initiative put forward by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at the 17th ASEAN-China Summit held in Myanmar in 2014 to establish a new type of cooperation mechanism among six Mekong-Lancang countries comprised of Cambodia, China, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam with an aim of promoting cooperation in the areas of political and socioeconomic development.
