Traders noted that investors were focusing on what the central bank will do during its regular open market operations on Thursday in a bid to detect more trading clues.
The People's Bank of China, China's central bank, did not conduct any open market operation for the seventh straight session on Tuesday. On Wednesday, ChinaBond New Composite Total Return Index, a broadly-based market sentiment indicator, squirmed up 0.2002 percent to 161.4912 points.
