The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC, 601398.SH; 01398.HK) underwrote issues of 1,600 bond products that raised a total of 1.4 trillion yuan in 2015.
The bank's domestic bond underwriting volume reached 1.15 trillion yuan, staying on the top among all Chinese underwriters for another year.
Along with the fast growth in underwriting scale, the ICBC also enriched the debt categories, covering short-term financing bonds, medium-term bills, ultra short-term financing bills, financial bonds, local government bonds and assets-backed securities.
Meanwhile, the ICBC assisted Chinese companies to issue 42.3 billion U.S. dollars of bonds in overseas markets, playing an important role in supporting the companies doing business abroad.
