Averaged pipeline natural gas price dropped 0.47 yuan per cubic meter to 2.04 yuan per cubic meter on Nov. 20 on Shanghai Petroleum and Natural Gas Exchange (SHPGX), a spot trading platform to prompt oil and gas reform and enhance China's gas pricing power, said a report by Shanghai Securities News on Monday.

Meanwhile, averaged LNG price stayed at 4,003 yuan per tonne in line with that in previous trading session. Earlier, the National Development and Reform Commission announced cut of city station gate prices of non-residential natural gas by 0.7 yuan per cubic meter effective Nov. 20.

The averaged pipeline natural gas prices with SHPGX reflect overall city station gate prices of residential and non-residential natural gas, which waters down scope of price decrease, said an industry insider.
