Two petrochemical plants in northeast China Friday raised butadiene quotations by more 7 percent on Friday, according to market information supplier www.100ppi.com. PetroChina Fushun Petrochemical Friday hiked butadiene quotation by 400 yuan/tonne or 7.41 percent to 5,800 yuan/tonne.
Another butadiene maker raised quotation by 400 yuan/tonne or 7.14 percent to 6,000 yuan/tonne on the same day. Butadiene stocks with a 50,000-tonne/year facility at Sinopec Maoming petrochemical reduced 400 tonnes to around 1,200 tonnes.
Meanwhile, another 100,000-tonne/year butadiene facility with Sinopec Maoming petrochemical is still under maintenance. It's learnt that hike of butadiene quotations is mainly due to substantial reduce of stocks in the downstream and maintenance with domestic and overseas production facilities.
