China's daily crude steel output in March reached 2.24 million metric tons (tonnes), up 1.3 percent month on month, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Wednesday.
After the Spring Festival holiday (February 18-24), downstream demands gradually recovered and steel mills' production stabilized, leading to the rise in daily output, said analysts.
In March, the country's crude steel output fell 1.2 percent year on year to 69.48 million tonnes.
