The most active soybean contract for January delivery was down 7.75 cents, or 0.86 percent, to close at 8.935 dollars per bushel. March wheat was down 4.5 cents, or 0.86 percent, to 5.1925 dollars per bushel. March corn fell 5.75 cents, or 1.53 percent, to 3.7125 dollars per bushel.
Private exporters on Wednesday reported to the U.S. Department of Agriculture export sales of 585,000 metric tons of soybeans for delivery to China during the 2019/2020 marketing year.
Corn and wheat futures weakened on technical selling.
