U.S. crude oil production decreases last week: EIA

HOUSTON, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil production decreased slightly during the week ending Friday, U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said Wednesday.

According to the EIA, U.S. crude oil production averaged 12.8 million barrels per day (b/d) last week, down by 100,000 b/d from the previous week and up by about 1.2 million b/d year-on-year.

In the EIA's latest Short-Term Energy Outlook released Tuesday, EIA forecast that U.S. crude oil production will average 13.2 million barrels per day in 2020, an increase of 0.9 million barrels per day from the 2019 level.
