The Australian dollar was again weaker against a greenback on Thursday. The U.S. dollar strengthened after positive data from the U.S. Federal Reserve, pushing the Australian dollar down after a brief overnight rally where it pushed above 73 U.S. cents. The currency was trading at 72.96 U.S. cents, down from a high of 73.21 U.S. cents on Wednesday. Local analysts said the U.S. Federal Reserve's decision to keep interest rates unchanged governed the Australian dollar's fate.
