The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 106 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Monday, largely unchanged from its levels late last week in New York.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 106.94-95 yen compared with 106.89-99 yen in New York and 107.40-41 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Friday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.2272-2273 dollars and 131.23-25 yen against 1.2275-2285 dollars and 131.27-37 yen in New York and 1.2226-2228 dollars and 131.31-35 yen in late Friday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
