The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 109 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Friday, marginally higher than its levels in New York overnight.
As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 109.47-48 yen compared with 109.34-44 yen in New York and 109.93-95 yen at 5 p.m. on Thursday in Tokyo.
The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1913-1914 dollars and 130.42-43 yen against 1.1911-1921 dollars and 130.33-43 yen in New York and 1.1859-1860 dollars and 130.37-41 yen in late Thursday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
