Dollar changes hands in lower 110-yen zone in early trade in Tokyo

TOKYO, May 23 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the lower 110-yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Thursday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 110.24-25 yen, compared with 110.28-38 yen in New York and 110.36-37 yen at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1155-1155 dollars and 122.97-98 yen against 1.1146-1156 dollars and 123.01-11 yen in New York, and 1.1151-1153 dollars and 123.06-10 yen in late Wednesday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
