New Thai banknotes counterfeit-proof: central bank

BANGKOK, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Bank of Thailand (BoT) Tuesday indicated that the new 100-baht and 1,000-baht banknotes were printed with advanced technology to prevent counterfeiting.

The BoT made the affirmation on its website in response to allegations of pirated copies of the new Thai bank notes found sporadically in the market.

The BoT said that the three dimensional printing technique and magnetic inks were used in the printing process, making the notes difficult to duplicate, replicate or counterfeit.
