China imported 23.24 million tonnes of crude oil in May down 23.27 percent from that in April, according to data issued by General Administration of Customs on Monday. Monthly imports of product oil declined to 2.32 million tonnes from 2.47 million tonnes in April.
Meanwhile, China imported 1.38 million tonnes of #5-7 fuel oil and 2.01 million tonnes of LPG, in comparison of 1.36 million tonnes of imported fuel oil and 2.58 million tonnes of imported LPG in the previous month. In May, China exported 130,000 tonnes of crude oil and 2.44 million tonnes of product oil, down 40.9 percent and 9.9 percent month on month, respectively. Plus, China exported 3.21 million tonnes of fertilizers in May up from 2.29 million tonnes in April.
